Since the first centuries, Christians have followed Jesus’ lead in visiting those imprisoned which was stated so eloquently in Matthew 25:35
"When I was in prison, you visited me".
Our primary mission is to bring the love and mercy of God to all we meet. We offer hope to those who may be in chaos, by offering them a smile and a listening heart…treating the incarcerated with dignity and loving them so much until they ask why. Our retreats are both liturgical and sacramental. They conclude with Mass using the Sunday readings along with the opportunity to go to Confession.

Our ministry invites those interested to join in serving the poor and needy, both here and abroad. Founded in 1997 to serve the less fortunate in Mexico City, Oazaca, and our local refugees, providing medical, educational and financial assistance. Currently, we support two children’s homes in Ciudad Acuña, Mexico and in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The Mission Group has monthly meetings at St. Matthew on the 2nd Tuesday, makes periodic missionary trips and seeks donations both financial and in-kind.

Outreach is an act or instance of reaching out, the act of extending services, benefits, etc., to a wider section of the population in community work. We perform acts of outreach in order to minister to them with the Gospel.
Throughout the centuries, outreach has become a valuable conduit by which evangelism and the Gospel message is passed.
We, the church, extend services, benefits, resources, time, prayer, basic human contact and kindness, etc.
