SENIOR CENTER MEMBER ON CITY TASK FORCE
Ursula Rodriguez, an active member of the St. Matthew Senior Center, was recently asked to be one of the District 8 representatives for the Senior Task Force for the city of San Antonio. This task force is doing a study on how the city can best improve city services for senior citizens throughout San Antonio.
Ursula is originally from Germany, and upon her arrival in San Antonio became a very active member of St. James Parish, including the Athletic Assn., PTC. Altar Society, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Parish Pastoral Council, and the School Board. Ursula then took a break from her church duties and furthered her education at St. Mary’s University. She received an accounting degree from St. Mary’s University. She then continued her involvement at St. James Parish, and eventually moved to St. Matthew Parish where she is now actively involved in the Altar Society, the VIP Club, is a lector/commentator, and is active in the Senior Center. Ursula has a varied background that will help her to be an effective member of the Task Force that will benefit seniors from all over San Antonio.
WE THANK HER FOR GIVING HER TIME AND ENERGY TO THIS VERY WORTHY CAUSE OF HELPING OUR SENIOR CITIZENS.
