What is Alpha:

It is a basic non-threatening course in Christianity which helps a person develop a closer relationship with Christ.

Who is Alpha For?

It’s for everyone like the faithful parishioners, people interested in investigating Christianity, newcomers, new Christians, non-churchgoers, and for Christians who want to brush up on the basics.

What happens at Alpha?

You make new friends:

·         Over a sit-down dinner in a casual atmosphere

·         While enjoying Prayer and Music

·         As you listen to talks on:

o   Who is Jesus?

o   Why did Jesus Die?

o   Why and How Do I pray?

o   How should I read the Bible?

·         While discussing these talks

·         While getting to know the Holy Spirit at a Day Retreat

When does Alpha start:

At St. Matthew’s every Tuesday night starting
