Open Monday through Friday from
7AM until Noon
Anyone who is 60 years of age or over is welcome to join in the various
activities that are held Monday thru Friday. The Senior Center is
located in the Parish Hall. A nutritional lunch is served daily at
11:15AM. If you wish to make a donation, a suggested donation for lunch
is 50 cents. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR THE LUNCH PROGRAM.

CERAMICS CLASS The Thursday morning ceramics class is looking for new members and
invites anyone who is interested or who might want to learn the
techniques of ceramics to join them on Thursday mornings from 9 AM until
11 AM. They share their creative abilities and also enjoy the friendship
of other members. If you are interested, please call the Senior Center
at 210-478-5024.
DANCE THERAPY CLASSES These classes for members of the Senior Center are held on Wednesday mornings
from 9AM until 10AM. This class is for those already registered in the Senior
Center. If you are a Center member and have not signed up for the classes yet,
please call Georgia Wall at 478-4017.
JEWELRY MAKING CLASS
A jewelry making class will be offered to members of the Senior
Center beginning on Thursday, October 18. Classes will be held every
other Thursday. The class will be held from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A
small monetary contribution for materials will be required from class
participants at each session. For any questions, or to register, please
call Georgia Wall in the Senior Center Office at 478-5017.
THE SENIOR CENTER WILL APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS OF
BEADING TOOLS THAT CAN BE USED TO MAKE JEWELRY: LONG NOSE PLIERS
CRIMPERS WIRE CUTTERS ALSO, ANY BEADS, CRYSTALS, OR OTHER ITEMS THAT ARE
USED FOR JEWELRY
New Senior Center All senior citizens (60 years of age and over) are invited to tour the new Bob Ross Senior Multi-Service Health and Resource Center. It is located
at the corner of Wurzbach Rd. and Babcock Rd. (behind the fire station). Services
are free and are specifically designed for the needs of senior citizens.
JEFFERSON OUTREACH FOR OLDER PEOPLE, INC. NEEDS VOLUNTEERS Jefferson Outreach is looking for volunteer drivers and cooks for their
organization.
Volunteer drivers are offered a stipend of $10 per day. Their duties are to
deliver meals, take seniors for grocery shopping and to take seniors for their
doctors appointments. For more information, please call the organization at
210-734-5016 during their business hours of 8:30 AM until 3:30 PM.
Caseworker A caseworker from the City of San Antonio Department of Community Initiatives
(Senior Services Division) is in our Senior Center in the Parish Hall on
Tuesdays from 9 AM until noon for anyone who may need his help. He may also be
reached at 210-207-5302 if you are unable to come to the Parish Hall on Tuesday
mornings.
